Coproplus Ultra is a unique patented method that turns the labour, time and space even more optimized. By adding a second filter, which the grid is thinner than the first one, the specimen process does not require any step other than invert the vial for 15 minutes at the Coproplus Ultra Tray and THAT’S IT! From the Coproplus Ultra tray straight to the microscope, no need for centrifuge or any substances for prior sample preparation. This method has been tested in several reference centres and its performance has been endorsed worldwidely.
Coproplus Ultra is a disposable system for collection, transport and analysis of intestinal parasites in feacal specimens. The vial contains preservative liquid (5% Formalin, SAF or Ecological Preservative) and two built-in filters, which simplifies the concentration technique.

COLLECTION PROCEDURE AND HANDLING
1º Step
Open the vial carefully to avoid (pouring) wasting the preservative liquid.
2º Step
Using the built-in collection device, fill the Basket (see picture) with Specimen. Do not overfill the Basket! In case of diarrheal samples, use an equivalent amount of fecal sample direct into the vial. For multiple collections, repeat this step two times or more in alternate days or according to physician instructions.
3º Step
Close the vial carefully. Take the vial to the lab as soon as possible.
ANALYSIS PROCEDURE
1º Step
Shake the vial in circular movements to complete specimen dissolving.
2º Step
Remove the small cap from the top. Remove air from the top by applying a gentle pressure to the vial. Invert the vial and place it in the Coproplus Ultra Tray for 15 minutes to complete sedimentation/concentration method.
3º Step
Add 1-2 drops into the microscope slide with 1 drop of Lugol or stain for analysis.
